In a bid to build a future-centric hospitality ecosystem in the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia, hotels, Morgans Originals and 25hours Hotels, are soon going to be a part of Trojena, a NEOM resort town in the mountains with a ski village.

This move was taken when Saudi Arabia’s smart and sustainable city NEOM secured Ennismore as its first hotel partner in preparation to host the Asian Winter Games in 2029. This is part of NEOM’s strategy to forge international alliances with top companies.

“Partnership with Ennismore echoes our mission to pioneer in experiential hospitality in a way that shapes the future of hotels in the kingdom and beyond. With a shared passion for developing differentiated and imaginative hospitality concepts, we look forward to seeing this relationship – and others like it – flourish,” said Chris Newman, executive director of Hotel Development at NEOM.

Trojena, spread over 60 sq km and scheduled to be finished in 2026, is a location where winter temperature falls below zero, and year-round temperatures are usually 10 degrees lower than those in the neighboring regions.

“The mountains of Trojena are set to become one of the most awe-inspiring destinations the world over. Both 25hours Hotels and Morgans Originals are ideal brands for Trojena as we look to deliver extraordinary experiences for residents and visitors seeking luxury, adventure, entertainment, livability, and escape from the status quo,” said Philip Gullett, executive director and region head, Trojena.

The town offers high-end retail and dining options in addition to hospitality and residential areas centered around a public plaza. With the mountainsides extending over the village roof, the ski slope skyline is created so it can be utilized all year long by a variety of adventure sports facilities.

The upcoming Trojena Games will feature 47 activities, including skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and figure skating events. There will be 28 snow and 19 ice competitions.
