Bentley unveils new Torcal SUV with redesigned styling and cabin technology

Bentley has unveiled the Torcal, a new SUV that introduces a revised design language and a range of new interior and technology features for the British luxury automaker.

The model was revealed by Bentley Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, who described it as a significant addition to the company’s 107-year history and a reference point for future models across different powertrains.

Designed by Bentley’s in-house team in Crewe under Design Director Robin Page, the Torcal features a low, streamlined SUV profile with a focus on proportions, surface design and detailing.

Its exterior design incorporates a long wheelbase, short overhangs and an upright front, while an illuminated diamond grille draws on design cues from previous Bentley models, including the Continental T. The rear uses a cleaner design with fewer visual elements.

The design team has also reduced the number of exterior lines, placing greater emphasis on the vehicle’s proportions and sculpted surfaces. At the rear, pronounced haunches extend over the wheels as the cabin tapers toward the back.

Inside, the Torcal retains Bentley’s wing-inspired dashboard layout, with leather, wool, veneer and aluminum used across the cabin. Physical controls are integrated into the center console and steering wheel, while knurled controls and redesigned bullseye air vents combine traditional design elements with newer technology.

The standard front seats offer 16-way adjustment, heating, ventilation, adjustable bolsters and a massage function. Optional Postural Adjust and Smart Seat Climate systems continuously adjust seat pressure and temperature to improve comfort on longer journeys.

A Wellness Seat Specification extends the massage function to the legs, in addition to the back and shoulders. The rear three-seat bench also introduces a power-folding function to a Bentley model for the first time.

The Torcal will be available with five wheel designs in multiple finishes. The standard model comes with 21-inch wheels, while the S version features 22-inch ten-twin-spoke wheels as standard. Additional 22-inch options include an aerodynamic design, alongside summer, winter and all-season tire configurations.

The Torcal is also the first Bentley model to feature the company’s redesigned emblem, which was unveiled last year.
