On the back of a flurry of announcements of music festivals in Qatar throughout the world’s biggest football event, two new international acts have been added to the list of concerts announced to take place at the FIFA World Cup — Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin.

Kicking off the Fifa World Cup, Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin will perform at the star-studded World Stage event, organized by Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism in association with Alchemy Project, which will host many international acts as part of the Qatar Live 2022 series.

The Grammy Award-winning Los Angeles band Black Eyed Peas will perform at the Doha Golf Club on November 20 to open The World Stage, and J Balvin will perform on November 24.

Last week, Egyptian singer Amr Diab and EDM star David Guetta confirmed their performance at Aravia, which will take place in Al Wakrah, north of Doha.

Other acts for World Stage have yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has declared that the Abu Samra land border crossing is all set to welcome FIFA World Cup spectators and is working with various authorities, tournament security and safety partners, and organizers.

The Interior Ministry released the steps to be taken upon arrival at the Abu Samra border crossing as per the Hayya card category granted, effective from November 1 to December 23, 2022. Travelers are required to enter Qatar using a passport registered with the Hayya website.

As part of its readiness to welcome the public at the Abu Samra border post, the Ministry has taken a number of actions, which include increasing the number of passport counters at the checkpoint; providing convenient and accessible transportation from the checkpoint to Al-Messila in central Doha and the Family and Friends Meet and Greet Area in Al Qalayel; and allocating a tent equipped to receive over 4,000 every hour.
