Abu Dhabi-listed developer Aldar Properties and UAE telecom companies du and Etisalat (e&) team up to offer telecom services across Abu Dhabi developer developments.

Per the UAE’s Taawun plan, the enterprises will provide telecoms infrastructure for Aldar’s projects under the master developer agreement (MDA), according to a statement.

Modern fixed telecom services and solutions will be installed, maintained, and managed by Du and Etisalat across all of Aldar’s developments in Abu Dhabi, including Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, Al Raha, and Reem Island.

In addition to allowing users to choose their preferred operator for their telecom needs, Taawun aims to promote the government’s ambition to develop smart infrastructure.

“Through the development of advanced telecom infrastructure, Aldar residents will be able to choose their service provider and have access to the latest fiber optics and advanced 5G communication solutions,” the statement stated.

“This will help transform these communities into smart, sustainable, and high-quality-of-life areas for their residents with modern ways of living,” the statement added.

Aldar recently unveiled its newest project, a sustainable neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, to capitalize on the rising demand for environmentally friendly housing options.
