The UAE is an ideal holiday destination, boasting skyscraper cities, futuristic amusement parks, and pristine beaches.

In line with this, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is getting ready for an increased number of travelers. Between December 15th and 31st, the airport foresees a remarkable 4.4 million visitors, with an average of around 258,000 passengers daily.

The peak is projected on Friday, December 22nd, when an unprecedented 279,000 passengers are expected at DXB, marking the airport’s busiest day. During December 22nd-24th and 29th-31st, around half a million passengers, primarily families reuniting and friends seeking getaways, are anticipated.

Activities range from a 3D photo moment in a massive snow globe to visits from various holiday entertainers sharing chocolates and gifts. Moreover, young travelers will have the chance to meet Santa and his elves, receiving unique presents in the process.

As the Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, Essa Al Shamsi emphasized the introduction of new airlines and increased flight schedules at DXB during the winter season. This move aimed to draw more visitors to Dubai while enhancing connections to various cities.

“Our dedicated teams across DXB are committed to making the festive travel experience cheerful and bright. Working closely with our partners to ensure your holiday travel is truly magical, we hope the added festive-themed activities will add a touch of wonder to their experience at DXB,” he said.
