Dubai sets up board for Hamdan Bin Rashid medical and education foundation

Dubai has formed a Board of Trustees for the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences.

The board was established under a resolution issued on Wednesday by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

Humaid Mohammed Al Qutami will chair the board, while Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Muhairi will serve as vice chairman.

The board will bring together figures from medicine, healthcare management, education and public administration. Board members include Professor Dr. Alawi Ali Alsheikh Al Breiki, Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Dr. Ahmed Eid Al Mansouri, Dr. Suleiman Mohammed Al Hammadi, Essa Al Haj Khadem Al Maidoor and Abdullah Saeed Belyoahah.

The board will be tasked with steering the Foundation towards achieving its mission of fostering innovation across medicine and education by bringing together expertise from both fields. The Board aims to introduce programs to advance the quality of education and healthcare services across Dubai and the wider UAE.

Other objectives include establishing collaborative partnerships and initiatives with international educational and medical institutions.

The goal is to bring best practices to the region but also facilitate knowledge exchange and research opportunities.

The resolution takes effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
