Multibillion dollar deals worth investment, procurement opportunities, and new partnerships are expected to be announced at the second Make it in the Emirates Forum, a key investment event in the UAE.

The forum aims to attract investment opportunities for UAE industries, convince manufacturers to set up operations in the country, and strengthen local, regional, and international partnerships.

From May 31-June 1, 2023, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Center, the forum will be held under the theme of investment, sustainability, and growth. It will focus on sustainable industrial development, carbon reduction, and measures to increase the industrial sector’s contribution to climate action in line with the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategic initiative and the 2023 Year of Sustainability campaign.

It will host discussion panels on advanced technologies, industrial investment opportunities in the UAE, incentives, and enablers to boost entrepreneurship and business growth.

The forum aligns with the UAE’s economic diversification strategy and the country’s efforts to enhance the competitiveness of national industries.

It is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) in partnership with the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi and ADNOC under the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology.

The forum will also feature the first Make It in the Emirates Awards, recognizing the “pioneering industrial companies and individuals driving technological growth, localization, sustainability, and innovation.” It will celebrate innovators and their contributions to the UAE’s industrial sector.

The event follows the success of the inaugural event in 2022, which gathered more than 1,800 delegates and resulted in procurement opportunities worth $30 billion.
