Saudi Arabia’s $500 billion giga-project NEOM will partner with Marriott International to bring three luxury hotels to its exclusive island – Sindalah.

The agreement marks Marriott’s entry into Saudi Arabia’s luxury hospitality market, with the introduction of its Autograph Collection and Luxury Collection hotels, scheduled to open in 2024.

The Luxury Collection beach resort, Marriott’s first luxury hotel, will have 70 rooms and suites, including villas with private pools and one to four-bedroom homes.

Meanwhile, the second all-suite hotel will feature 115 suites, one and three-bedroom homes, located in the heart of Sindalah’s shopping and marina district.

“NEOM is one of the most highly anticipated developments in the world and we look forward to working with its team to develop these three exciting properties,” said Jerome Briet, chief development officer of Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Marriott International.

Marriot’s Autograph Collection hotel in Sindalah will include 66 rooms and suites, one and two-bedroom villas, dining options, a kids club, and a spa. One of the most alluring locations on the Red Sea, Sindalah is slated to welcome visitors to a collection of islands being created in NEOM.

The island is 840,000 square meters and is accessible by boat from the Mediterranean in 17 hours. It has an 86-berth harbor for boats up to 75 meters. Moreover, the island will have 300 suites and more than 400 luxury hotel rooms.

“We are thrilled by the prospect of working together and look forward to building a hospitality experience that captures the spirit of Sindalah’s year-long appeal while creating unforgettable memories for our guests,” added Chris Newman, executive director of hotel development at NEOM.
