OMEGA has partnered with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) to launch a new exhibition marking the anniversary of the first Moon landing, celebrating both the UAE’s achievements in space exploration and the legacy of the OMEGA Speedmaster.

Hosted at MBRSC, the exhibition highlights key milestones in the UAE’s space program through displays dedicated to the Emirates Lunar Mission and the UAE Astronaut Program.

Visitors can explore the country’s journey from astronaut Hazzaa Al Mansoori’s landmark Zayed Ambition 1 mission to the International Space Station in 2019 to H.E. Dr. Sultan AlNeyadi’s record-breaking six-month Zayed Mission 2 during Expedition 69.

The exhibition also showcases the OMEGA Speedmaster, the timepiece closely associated with human spaceflight.

The display builds on OMEGA’s longstanding partnership with MBRSC, which was further strengthened during AlNeyadi’s six-month mission aboard the International Space Station in 2023, when he wore OMEGA watches throughout the expedition as part of the brand’s role as the Center’s official timepiece partner.

“The first Moon landing remains one of humanity’s greatest achievements, demonstrating what can be accomplished through ambition, collaboration and scientific innovation,” said H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of MBRSC. “This exhibition, in collaboration with OMEGA, offers an opportunity to honor that historic legacy, celebrate Emirati achievements in space, and inspire future generations to contribute to the next chapter of exploration.”

Introduced in 1957, the OMEGA Speedmaster became the only watch flight-qualified by NASA in 1965 and the first worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

“The Speedmaster’s history is woven into the exploration of space – a testament to enduring precision, resilience and innovation,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA. “We are honored to strengthen our partnership with MBRSC and to share the story of this iconic timepiece with the region, inspiring future generations to pursue exploration and discovery.”

Alongside the exhibition, OMEGA has launched a campaign highlighting five Speedmaster models that represent nearly seven decades of the collection’s design, engineering and space heritage.
