Over 360 firms join Dubai–Oman talks to strengthen supply chains
Discussions focused on new business opportunities, deeper cooperation, and ways to address evolving global supply chain challenges.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce convened a dialogue session in collaboration with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Al Batinah North branch to advance logistics cooperation between Dubai and Oman. The event brought together more than 360 private sector representatives from both markets.
The session was attended by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Saeed Bin Ali Al Abri, Chairman of the Al Batinah North branch. Discussions focused on emerging business opportunities, mechanisms to deepen cooperation, and ways to address evolving global supply chain challenges while facilitating bilateral trade flows.
Participants included representatives from SOHAR Port, Oman Logistics Center, Al Madina Logistics, and the Directorate General of Customs of the Royal Oman Police, as well as transport and freight companies from Oman. Dubai-based firms across multiple sectors also took part in the discussions.
The session forms part of broader efforts by Dubai Chambers to strengthen trade resilience with Oman. Earlier this month, a Dubai Chambers delegation visited Sohar, where meetings with the local chamber branch focused on enhancing cooperation across priority sectors and identifying high-value opportunities to support bilateral trade growth.
During the visit, the delegation toured SOHAR Port and Sohar Industrial City (Madayn). Discussions underscored the need to improve the movement of goods, enhance supply chain efficiency, and deepen logistics integration between Dubai and Sohar.
These initiatives align with Dubai Chambers’ ongoing strategy to expand international trade ties, foster business collaboration, and reinforce the resilience of Dubai’s private sector amid shifting global economic conditions.
