The first global cinema operator in Saudi Arabia—AMC Cinema—has created Live at AMC, a content platform, to offer alternative entertainment experiences. The new platform will host various live performances and programs, providing the Saudi audience with quality content.

The launch of the new platform builds on AMC’s efforts to transform the kingdom’s cinema landscape and its strategy to innovate the way people experience entertainment. With a stand-up comedy night starring local and international comedians, Live at AMC was launched last week at AMC Cinemas King Abdullah Financial District to introduce the audience to premium non-movie entertainment.

The launch event was hosted in collaboration with Smile Entertainment, featuring various comedians like Mishal Samman—also known as “Meesh from KSA”—the host and producer of The Sunday Bash, Canadian stand-up Allyson June Smith, and the British comic Joe Jacobs.

AMC chronicled the comedy night in a tweet as “an absolute success with wonderful guests and performers who filled the auditorium with laughter.”
