As the trend toward modern heritage continues to shape menswear in 2026, Italian luxury fashion house ZEGNA is drawing on its Alpine roots for its latest outerwear design.

For its Fall/Winter 2026 collection, the fashion house has unveiled the Falcon jacket, a lightweight design inspired by founder Ermenegildo Zegna and his appreciation for the mountains surrounding Trivero, in northern Italy, where the brand was founded.

Zegna would climb to San Bernardo each Saturday, overlooking Oasi Zegna, a 100-square-kilometer natural territory in the Italian Alps. According to the brand, a falcon would fly above him during these climbs.

The Falcon jacket pays tribute to that story through its design, which combines functional outerwear details with fabrics suitable for different climates. The jacket features bellows pockets, a back gusset, a leather under-collar and shirt-style cuffs, making it versatile enough for different settings and occasions. Other details reference ZEGNA’s history, including the 232 Road mark, which appears on every jacket and refers to the road Zegna built through the mountains of northern Italy.

The Falcon is part of ZEGNA’s Su Misura campaign, centered on the idea that a wardrobe is shaped over time. Featuring ZEGNA Global Ambassador Mads Mikkelsen, the campaign explores how garments can take on personal meaning when they are worn, kept and passed from one generation to the next.

The campaign also includes ZEGNA’s made-to-measure service, which allows customers to create a wardrobe tailored to their individual preferences. For the Falcon, they can work with the brand’s specialists to select from a range of textiles chosen for the jacket’s outdoor character, including fabrics suited to different climates.

The campaign builds on ZEGNA’s Fall/Winter 2026 show in Milan, titled “A Family Closet.” The show centered on the idea that clothes worth making are also clothes worth keeping. The show featured Ermenegildo Zegna’s first jacket, a 1930s Su Misura piece made from Australian wool, garments from the wardrobes of executive chairman Gildo Zegna and his cousin Paolo, both third-generation members of the family, as well as other pieces from the house.
